38th North Zone Japanese Language Speech Contest, It's a regional-level Japanese language speech competition for students from North India, part of a broader network of zonal contests (North, South, East, West) held across India each year. Regional contests are organized to encourage students of Japanese language, in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy and Japanese consulates, with regional contests held in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune.

MOSAI started the Japanese Language Speech Contest in 1985 to encourage students to spontaneously express their own thoughts in Japanese, rather than testing memorization of a written speech, and speeches on religious or political subjects aren't allowed. Candidates are nominated by a Japanese language teaching organization and compete in junior and senior categories, with an eligible age range of 18 to 35
